This piece consisted of an 8 x 8 foot walk-in cube. The space was completely dark and contained an illusion of infinite 'space' generated using the infinity mirror technique, which gives a false perception of depth. The piece relies on the human eye for its effectiveness. Initially the viewer is only aware of a handful of stars but gradually sees more and more as the eye becomes accustomed to the darkness. The original piece was subsequently developed to incorporate the sound of a pulsar as detected by radio telescope.
